DISCIPLESHIP AND FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE

MISSION...
To nurture God’s children of every age in their faith, to encourage people to build and grow in spiritual friendships with each other, and to have fun together so that we may be the body of Christ TOGETHER.


MEMBERSHIP:
Chair: a member of Session
Secretary
Liaison: Director of Christian Education, ex-officio member (voice without vote)
Other members should include creative and imaginative people. Some should be accustomed to working with children, others with youth, and others with adults.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Developing and supervising all educational programming in the church.
2. Caring and nurturing God’s children in their faith development.
3. Planning and supervising the Sunday School, Kidz Worship, Girls Friday, Guys Night, Men of Chapel, Sisters In Spirit, Vacation Bible School, Small Groups, Wednesday programs, Bible studies, youth ministry and any other program of fellowship and nurture.
4. Planning and carrying out camps, conferences and retreats for all ages.
5. Supervising and implementing the scholarship program for college students.
6. Raising funds for youth programs.
7. Using creativity, imagination and love in initiating new programs.
8. Leading the congregation in fun.
9. Helping church members develop spiritual friendships with one another.
10. Planning and organizing dinners and parties for the church.
11. Supervising the refreshments after worship and at other events at Chapel.
12. Organizing an annual picnic.
13. Planning outings to sporting events.
14. Supervising the Coffee Hour after worship services.
15. Be creative about initiating activities of fun and friendship.
